Jo Stocks - Chief Executive

Jo was educated at Rugby School and the Polytechnic of the South Bank, joining the firm in 1978 following training with the London District Surveyor's service. He became a director in 1985, specialising in commercial building surveying with a particular emphasis on complex development projects.

In 1999, he opened Watts' first office in the City of London, where he is now based. In 2002 he was elected to his current position as Chief Executive in succession to Michael Ridley and is responsible for chairing the Management Board and overseeing strategic direction.

Jo is a past chairman of the Bureau of European Building Consultants and Experts and the Association of Consultant Building Surveyors. He regularly presents papers on development-related topics and has provided expert evidence on construction defects and contract disputes.
